“Many of the cases we are handling stem from misunderstandings in homes, acts of theft, and situations where people choose to resolve issues outside the law,” Kigozi said.

He revealed that several suspects connected to recent criminal incidents have already been arrested, with security operations still ongoing to track down more individuals believed to be involved.

“We have apprehended a number of individuals, and our operations are continuing to identify and arrest others involved,” he added.

Police have appealed to members of the public to cooperate with security agencies by reporting suspicious individuals and criminal activities, instead of resorting to violence or taking the law into their own hands.

“We call upon the public to work closely with security agencies and to avoid taking matters into their own hands. This is key to promoting safety in our communities,” Kigozi emphasized.

The police leadership in the Wamala region says intensified patrols and intelligence-led operations are being conducted to restore calm and strengthen public safety across the district.
